Kinesiology Taping

Have your injuries started to interfere with your life? Do you find that pain is getting in the way of your sports performance?

At KRU PT and Performance Lab in Miami and Deerfield, we use the most advanced techniques, including Kinesiology taping (Kinesio taping), to help you find relief!

Whether you have injured yourself playing sports or strained your muscles working around the home, injuries and pain can interfere with your normal activities. RockTaping is a form of kinesio taping that involves placing strips of special tape on your body to help reduce your pain and improve your mobility while supporting your joints, muscles, and tendons.

Our experienced physical therapists will help resolve your sore muscles and prevent pain from interfering with your life!

HOW ROCKTAPE HELPS PAIN AND IMPROVES PERFORMANCE

Like all types of kinesiology tape, RockTape facilitates motion and inhibits pain. This type of tape is made of a flexible material that moves when you move.

Rock Tape can be used to improve your sports performance abilities, including:

  • Strength and power

  • Static and dynamic balance (i.e., proprioception)

  • Jumping ability (vertical and horizontal)

  • Speed and agility

It is also helpful when working with painful conditions such as:

  • Sprains and Strains

  • Overuse injuries

  • Tendinopathies

RockTape treatments have been proven to help alleviate pain, increase strength and range of motion, and most importantly, get patients back to living their everyday lives!

WHAT TO EXPECT WITH KINESIO TAPING

At your initial appointment, your physical therapist will perform a thorough evaluation. This assessment will determine whether RockTape and kinesio taping in general will be an effective treatment for you.

We will use this information to develop a comprehensive program to reduce pain, improve your motion and strength and restore your function.

Our team uses targeted massage techniques, mobility work, strengthening, and appropriate pain relief techniques to help our patients feel better.

Our physical therapists will detail the step-by-step process you will go through, using the necessary therapies to achieve the best possible outcomes! If you have questions about the success or validity of Rocktaping, don’t hesitate to ask your therapist! Remember, we are the experts on movement, and we love providing our clients with answers to their questions and solutions for their pain.
